Eccentric Elbow Extension – Band

  • HOW: With a resistance band in both hands, begin by pulling the resistance band on one end with your biceps. While the band is tensioned, allow your arm with the elbow straight to slowly bend to meet the other arm. Once the tension in the resistance band is lost, lower both arms and repeat.
  • FEEL: You will feel the biceps working on the arm that lifts first. You will feel the triceps working on the arm that is slowly bending.
  • COMPENSATION: Avoid allowing the shoulder to round forward while performing this. Keep your shoulder blades strong for the entirety of this exercise.
