Sleds are one of my favorite training devices late in rehab when transitioning athletes to return to practice. It's a fantastic way to develop horizontal power, which translates more to sprinting and running activities than vertical power (ie sled pushes greater than front squat for sprinting speed). That being said, they are often performed WRONG, especially when athletes are taxed cardiovascular and get lazy with their pushes - don't let this be you!
