Staggered Stance Hex Bar Deadlift

This is a modification of the standard hex bar deadlift. The hex bar is an excellent piece of equipment to use as it is more back friendly compared to traditional barbell deadlifts. Also the hex bar deadlift is a hybrid motion between a true hinge and squat, which provides multiple benefits. This staggered stance hex bar deadlift promotes increased unilateral loading! After surgery, people tend to asymmetrical load their lower extremities while performing bilateral movements. This staggered stance allows increased loading on the foot that is further back (if proper form is occurring), which is great for those that have a difficult time not compensating. This is one of our go to exercises for those after ACL reconstruction, knee surgeries, hip surgeries, and back surgeries when weight lifting is appropriate!
