HOW: Begin this exercise by hanging onto a pull-up bar with one palm facing you and the other palm facing away to perform the mixed grip. From the hanging position, use your core and shoulder muscles to pull your body up while bending your elbows.
FEEL: You will feel the biceps and elbow flexors of the palm that is facing you working while the palm that is facing away, you will feel more recruitment of the scapular retractions and shoulder extensors.
COMPENSATION: Keep your core and shoulders engaged as you perform this exercise to limit arching through the low back.
