The Pelvic Rotation Assessment is a good way to look at how well you move one area of your body, or dissociate one area of your body, without moving other areas of your body.To begin this assessment, get set up in a standing position with a slight but comfortable bend in your knees and your arms crossed across your chest. From this position, think only about moving through your pelvis and lumbar spine. Imagine trying to bring your belt buckle over one foot, returning to the starting position, then bringing the belt buckle over the other foot. While performing this assessment, take note of how this movement feels, is one way more challenging than the other? Where do you feel restrictions? Prehab Goals & Normative Values: While performing this assessment, take note of what areas feel more restricted as compared to others. Be sure to write down which motion feels restricted and where. Goal is for the restrictions to be symmetrical, or no more than a 10% difference side to side. Take the assessment, write down your score, and track your progress throughout the program. Exercise Library
