The Pelvic Tilt Assessment is a great way to look at dissociation of movement, or how well we are able to move one area of our body while keeping the other areas of our body stationary. To begin this assessment, start in a standing position with your hands resting comfortably on your hips. From here, work on allowing the hips to rock under into a posterior pelvic tilt position and then rock forward into an anterior pelvic tilt position all while keeping the mid back and lower extremities as stationary as possible. While performing this movement, assess how the movement feels, is it difficult to perform, what areas do you feel moving when performing this assessment. Prehab Goals & Normative Values: Movement should feel comfortable in all directions, if one way feels restricted, be sure to take note of where. Take the assessment, write down your score, and track your progress throughout the program. Exercise Library
