HOW: In a seated position find an elevated surface using chair handles or pillows to rest your arms on top of. You also have the option of crossing your arms (however, keep your arms relaxed if you choose to do this). While your shoulder blades elevated rotate your head slowly from side to side. When your shoulder blades are elevated, many of the neck muscles are slackened allowing for the neck to move easier.
FEEL: You will feel your neck muscles move your head from side to side. This may be easier for you to move your head with the arms elevated.
COMPENSATION: Don’t shrug your shoulders as you turn your neck, keep them relaxed.
