Single Leg Balance With Ankle Inversion With Basketball Dribble

  • HOW: Get set-up using a slant board to position your foot into inversion (the arch of your foot tilted up towards the ceiling). While maintaining your foot and toes in-contact with the ground, maintain balance while catching, passing, and dribbling a basketball.
  • FEEL: You should feel all of the muscles in your leg including your glute, quadriceps, calf, and foot muscles working to help maintain balance.
  • COMPENSATION: Do not let your toes lift up off the ground. Try to keep your entire foot intact with the ground. Do not lean your body in any direction too much, if you’re losing your balance simply put your other foot down and reset.
